Injection Molded RE-Fe-B & Compression Molded RE-Fe-B

These polymer bonded permanent magnets are manufactured using MQP isotropic RE-Fe-B powders. They can be made by either compression molding (Koerdym C) or injection molding (Koerdym I) techniques. These materials offer energy products ranging from about 32 to 86 kJ/m3, and offer good magnetic and thermal stability, in combination with diverse capabilities for net-shaping of close-tolerance parts. Using insert and composite techniques, injection molding makes it possible to connect magnets directly to shafts or other components, offering new and cost-effective solutions in design and manufacture.

Sintered RE-Fe-B

Koerdym S grades are anisotropic RE-Fe-B permanent magnets made by the powder metallurgy process that results, after magnetic alignment and sintering, in oriented metal magnets exhibiting >99% of theoretical density. These materials offer the highest energy products of any permanent magnets, with available grades ranging from 220-400 kJ/m3. Magnets are typically machined or ground to final dimensions, and are usually coated to protect against the external environment.

Injected Molded Ferrite

Koerox I magnets are hard ferrite plastic bonded magnets made by injection molding. These materials can be either isotropic or anisotropic. As well as the low cost and wide availability of raw materials, they offer good mechanical properties, high edge strength and the advantage that they can be molded to almost any shape with close tolerances. Using insert and composite techniques, injection molding makes it possible to connect magnets directly to shafts or other components, offering new and cost-effective solutions in design and manufacture.

Koerox S

Sintered Hard-Ferrite

Sintered hard-ferrite magnets are used in both isotropic and anisotropic styles. These magnets remain fully functional even under extreme conditions (-40°C to +200°C, corrosion effects) and so can be used in many applications.

As Koerox S is a low-cost magnetic material, KOLEKTOR MAGNET TECHNOLOGY GmbH provides its customers with competitive prices by cooperating with qualified international sources.

Hybrid Injection Molded Ferrite/RE-Fe-B

Koerox HI magnets are hybrid injection molded plastic bonded magnets that involve the simultaneous use of both hard ferrite and MQP isotropic RE-Fe-B powders to achieve magnet cost/performance targets beyond what is possible using either material alone. The ratio of ferrite to RE-Fe-B in the material mix can be tailored to meet specific technical requirements for new, previously inaccessible applications. These materials also have interesting reversible temperature dependent magnet properties owing to the different temperature coefficients of ferrite and RE-Fe-B. Of course, Koerox HI magnets also offer all the advantages of injecting molding for achieving innovative design and manufacturing solutions.
